With no celebrations last year due to the pandemic, this July 4th weekend looks like one of the biggest celebrations in a long time. The Manawa Lake fireworks will take place Friday from dusk at Council Bluffs. The US Air Force Heartland of America The group’s commercial music group, Raptor, is hosting an Independence Day concert starting at 7 p.m. at Midtown Crossing on Saturday. They will play everything from rock and country to jazz and funk. Free entry. In Ralston on Sundays, the fun Independence Day March-March starts at 8:30 am. Then at 1:00 pm is the 61st annual Independence Day Parade. It goes from 84th and Q downtown to 72nd and Main Street. The spectacular final fireworks display is also returning to the Ralston Arena from dusk. The Omaha Field Club celebrates the fourth with a parade and fireworks. The Independence Day Parade takes place on Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. at the 36th and Woolworth and on Sundays join the party in the park from noon to 2 p.m. You can also watch fireworks on Mondays at dusk at the Omaha Country Club Field Club. The Union Omaha will have fireworks after their game on Saturday July 10 at Werner Park.
