BTS (Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook) made a surprise appearance at the Oscars on Sunday, March 27, sharing their favorite musical movie moments.
The group praised Disney-Pixar classics, Jimin and RM revering coconut as “a true masterpiece”.
“I watched it three times and cried a lot,” RM said. “Disney films do a good job of stimulating emotions,” added Jin.
As for J-Hope, the singer said he preferred Aladdin, prompting RM to shout out Will Smith for his portrayal of the Genie.
Of course, that was before Smith’s 2022 Oscars time, which was a little less family-friendly. Maybe after the cast’s performance of “We Don’t Talk About Bruno,” the K-pop group will add the winner for Best Animated Feature Encanto to their list of Disney favorites.
BTS will continue their Oscar appearance with a performance at the Grammys on Sunday, April 3.
